About Cierra

I am a third-year law student at the Schulich School of Law looking to secure an articling position within Nova Scotia for the 2023-2024 term. As a former administrative assistant and recent summer law student for a full-service law firm, I have experience with drafting, legal research, and client interaction in multiple practice areas including family law, civil litigation, estates, corporate and real estate transactions. My roles with the Access to Justice and Law Reform Institute developed my knowledge in restorative justice, therapeutic justice, and trauma-informed care, as well as my child protection advocacy skills. I am looking forward to expanding my expertise in criminal law as an incoming Dalhousie Legal Aid Student (Winter 2023) and President of the Dalhousie Criminal Law Students’ Association. Finally, I am a proud Filipino-Canadian and first generation university student who is committed to serving and uplifting my community by making the law more accessible.
