Practicing law for over a decade allows me to have a business owner mentality. I welcome a detail-oriented analysis without losing the big picture of what is sought to accomplish. Being a law professor required consistent legal research and writing in English and Spanish. This skill was used alongside extensive and creative problem solving as a senior associate in a Peruvian law firm. My teamwork abilities were developed as a Board member of Ronald McDonald House Charities and in the LPP Program through a virtual law firm with lawyers worldwide. COVID’s unprecedented demands have shown that adaptability is essential in a globalized world. I am competent in civil and common law systems with a Spanish master’s in Business Law and an LLM in Canadian Common Law. By living in Europe, South and North America, my profile fit the demands of a 21st-century lawyer. Before transitioning my family to Alberta, I expect to secure a six to eight-month remote articling position.
