About Lavina

My name is Lavina Fernandes. I am an internationally trained law student, licensed in India and pursuing requalification in Canada. I was leading human resources function for over 6 years in India. As an HR professional I was responsible for employment and statutory laws, included appearing before the High Court of Mumbai, Labour Courts, and Tribunals as a management representative. Through my diverse academic and professional education I gained knowledge and experience in law, human resources, administration, marketing, and finance. In the course of my career, I have also gained leadership, organizational, time management, labour and conflict resolution skills. I was awarded the “Service of Excellence Award, 2021” at Silvera for Seniors, Calgary for living the company values. I am well recognized by senior leadership for my contribution in the organization at my current job. I will be enrolling for CPLED in April 2023. I am seeking an articling position in Alberta.
