Have you ever wondered what goes into training a lawyer for a client interview?

We’re recruiting Simulated Clients to help train future lawyers in Canada in client interviewing. Simulated Clients will be interviewed by students via video chat and will assess the student’s performance using a standardized competency-based rubric.

Simulated Clients have long been used to train future physicians. We’re using Simulated Clients to help shift students thinking from the technical details of legislation and cases they acquire in law school to a more holistic appreciation of client situations.

Interested applicants must have:

• strong communication skills,
• the ability to follow detailed instructions and reproduce a simulation consistently,
• the ability to memorize scenarios, and
• the ability to accept constructive feedback and make adjustments accordingly.
