At the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED), we strive to foster relationships with our stakeholders. Relationships where stakeholders can engage in open dialogue to enhance and evolve the Practice Readiness Education Program (PREP) and the students’ experience.
Our commitment to continuous improvement is one we take very seriously. Throughout PREP, we survey students and external contactors requesting feedback on program content, technologies and overall program experience. From the feedback we collect, we categorize it into common themes and develop solutions. The management team then meets to discuss and determine what enhancements can be made to improve the program and when.
During the summer of 2021, to support our continuous improvement initiative, we hosted collaborative conversations with Principals and firm contacts who had students that participated in the June 2020 offering of PREP. Participants from all four CPLED jurisdictions attended as well as representatives from CPLED participating law societies.
The feedback we received during these meetings was documented and compiled into a memo report. This memo report was presented to the CPLED Board at their September meeting this year. This report highlights the key areas of concern brought forward during the sessions and our initiatives to address them.
We are devoted to communicating regularly with Principals and firm contacts of current and future PREP students, engaging in collaborative conversations, gathering their feedback and working as a team to address student concerns whenever possible.
