LRW Application for Extension

Students submitting this application should ensure they have read and understood CPLED’s policies.

This form should be used by students to request an extension when they are unable to meet a deadline for a course deliverable. Submission of this form does not guarantee approval of the extension request. Extension requests are granted at the sole discretion of CPLED.

The factors considered by CPLED in reviewing an extension request include but are not limited to:

Whether the circumstances are unforeseen or beyond the control of the student.
Whether the circumstances make it impossible for the student to complete the course deliverable by the prescribed deadline.
Whether the extension request reflects a pattern of missed course deadlines or previous extension requests.
Where possible, whether the extension request was made several days before the deadline.

Extension requests are not granted for pre-existing scheduling conflicts or where students have substantial remaining time in advance of a deadline to complete the deliverable.

Extension requests are intended for single assignments only. Students seeking multiple extensions may want to consider applying for accommodation. For information on the accommodation process, please review the accommodation information page, policy, and application form.

Students who are unable to remain in their intake may wish to submit an LRW Application for Withdrawal and request to register in a future intake instead.
