The Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED) is dedicated to providing the best program schedule of offerings for aspiring lawyers in Canada. Through the Practice Readiness Education Program (PREP) and Accelerated PREP intakes, CPLED previously offered the final evaluation, the Capstone, four times yearly, in January, March, June and September.
Recently, CPLED collaborated with key partners to review Bar admission evaluation and exam offerings across Canada. They also reviewed feedback from interested parties, Capstone results, and student performance in their second and third attempts.
As a result of these reviews, CPLED will now offer the Capstone twice yearly, in March and September. This change will allow students who may not succeed on their first attempt ample time to review materials and prepare for their next writing attempt. While this change may cause some inconvenience for those who rely on additional Capstone attempts, CPLED is committed to helping students become competent lawyers.
CPLED offers two distinct Bar admission intakes, Accelerated PREP (May to September) and PREP (June to March), which enable students to select the program style that best suits their learning style.
