Career Services
CPLED provides career support to help you succeed in your articling search and beyond. Services are available to eligible participants across Canada, including internationally trained lawyers (ITLs), Canadian common law graduates seeking articles, aspiring lawyers working towards a Certificate of Qualification (CQ) through the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA), and PREP candidates.
Services for PREP Candidates
As part of your PREP tuition, you gain access to complimentary career services designed to support your professional development, including:
- PREP Connect: A mentorship program linking candidates with experienced legal professionals.
- PREP Recess: Networking opportunities with fellow PREP candidates.

Services for Non-PREP Candidates
Articling Assist provides similar job search support as candidates enrolled in PREP for a fee. This program is open to law students anywhere in Canada, including ITLs at any stage of the qualification process. If you later enroll in PREP, your fee is credited towards your tuition.

Student Services Advisor
Our Student Services Advisor offers support for both PREP Candidates and Non-PREP Candidates. For those enrolled in PREP, you have access to free articling search support if you have not yet secured a student-at-law role. This includes:
- Resume and cover letter reviews
- Job search strategy and networking guidance
- LinkedIn optimization and interview preparation
