About Janaka

I am actively seeking an articling position where I can contribute my legal skills and training obtained from the UK and Sri Lanka. I hold an LL.B and Postgraduate Diploma in International Business Management from the University of Manchester in the UK. I also completed the Certificate of Qualifications (CQ) from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. I have over 7 years experience as a practicing attorney in Sri Lanka and my work has included IP law, company law, real estate transactions, fundamental rights, civil appeals and criminal defence. I am fluent in English and Sinhalese. I am enthusiastic and adept at legal research, drafting and advocacy. I would welcome an opportunity to article and to contribute to a team.
