I have completed the NCA process and earned the Certificate of Qualifications (CQ) from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. Before moving to Canada in 2011, I completed my legal studies at The Sri Lanka Law College and enrolled as an Attorney at Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. For the past four years, I have worked as a paralegal in law firms. I had the opportunity to work closely with real estate, wills and power of attorney, family law, corporations, and some immigration matters. From conducting research and analysis, organizing case files, analyzing client information, and preparing various court records, Before entering Canada’s legal industry, I worked in the corporate sector for eight years. I provided quality, timely service to external and internal clients by performing various administrative duties in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Also, this work experience has allowed me to sharpen my skills in time management, teamwork, meeting deadlines.
